Copying Your Disk Image

Copying Your Disk Image

In the next few steps, you'll

  1. create a "web seed" (or, in other words, place the disk image on a web server)
  2. create a .torrent file, and
  3. "seed" the torrent.

Steps 1 and 3 are optional.  You do have to do one of them, and I recommend doing both.  (If you have a better recommendation, e-mail me at clinton.blackmore+bt_imaging@gmail.com).

If you are using one server for web seeding and regular seeding (as I am in these example steps), it makes sense to copy the file once, to where the webserver can server it up, and then make it into a torrent.  If you are using two servers for that purpose, you will, of course, need to copy your disk image to each of them.
